Golden Star Ganesh or Comedy Time Ganesh is a Kannada language film actor from India. He shot to popularity with the 2007 blockbuster film Mungaru Male, which became one of the biggest hits in Kannada cinema.
He was born in Adakamaranahalli near Nelamangala town in Karnataka, India. His father's name is Kishan, and mother, Sulochana, and grandmother Sithamma. He is the first son in his family, the younger brothers being Mahesh and Umesh. He currently resides in Banashankari, Bengaluru. He excelled in education and earned a diploma in Electronics in Nelamangala. Ganesh's family hails from Nepal, though Ganesh has resided in Karnataka for a long time.
Ganesh first acting starts at school life.he give many program in her school,his actual acting carrer starts in popular VTAARA serial Directed by Nagatihalli. further he give a Comedy Time program in Udaya TV.he played very good roll, this program famous in udaya tv.He started his career with "Guttu", a telefilm.

It is the only film that is running to packed houses on weekdays in PVR Multiplex for more than 200 days.It is running 84 shows per day in Bangalore. In remaining parts of Karnataka it is shown 504 times a day ever since the release.

His first film was Guttu, a telefilm directed by India's youngest female film director, Priyabharati Joshi, an NRI who came to India with the intention of entering the Indian film industry. Priyabharati offered Ganesh Guttu just as he was about to graduate from Adarsh Film Institute, against the advice of industry insiders who criticized her choice of a newcomer with unconventional looks and no industry ties. Guttu was Ganesh's first time facing the camera, before moving on to his TV career and later, feature films.
Mungaru Male - MM is a 2006 Kannada language movie directed by Yograj Bhat and produced by E Krishnappa. The film stars Ganesh, Pooja Gandhi, and Anant Nag in lead roles. The film was a success, exceeding expectations.The film is believed to have shaped and strengthened the careers of Ganesh, Yograj Bhat and Jayant Kaikini.
This movie was the first in India for any language to be screened for continuously one year in a multiplex.
Up to 80% of the scenes in the film were shot in the rain.Shooting locations included Madikeri,Sakaleshpura,Jog Falls,and Gadag. Krishna, the camera man was a part-time photographer prior to the film. His camera work was widely praised and is considered a highlight of the film.
The film rewrote box office records in the Kannada film industry. The impact was so big that Bhat's next movie, Gaalipata, was overshadowed by Mungaru Male. Mungaru Male completed 100 days in all 37 centres in Karnataka.
The film ran to packed houses on weekdays in PVR Multiplex and became one of the few films in the world to have completed one year in a multiplex.
Mungaaru Male was being screened at full houses, one year after its release, in more than 26 centres. It grossed over Indian Rupee ₹25 crores, which was an all time record for a Kannada film at that time.
The success of the film and the enormous cash surplus generated by the movie, caught attention of income tax authorities and it was reported that the IT Department raided the producers' offices.
Ganesh went on to become the "Golden Boy" of the Kannada film industry and acquired the nickname "Golden Star". He became a major draw and all his movies after Mungaru Male garnered success in 2006-07.
Pooja Gandhi, who portrayed the female lead role in the film, was relatively unknown prior to Mungaru Male. After the success of the film, she received offers of roles in many films.
Yograj had narrated the script to Puneeth Rajkumar, who rejected it. Ganesh had been involved in the script development process and was curious to act in the movie. He got director Bhat to meet his acquaintance E Krishnappa. Since Krishnappa knew Ganesh (both hailed from Adakamaranahalli, Nelamangala), he agreed to finance the film. Since Yograj Bhat couldn't get dates from any Kannada actress, he signed a relatively unknown actress, Pooja Gandhi.
His third film as hero, Hudugaata, was released on 8 June 2007
